Youth Empowerment

Youth empowerment we focus on creating a better community which centres on creating a strong independent individual. We empower the youth by equipping them with the skills and knowledge they need to lead lives of dignity, purpose, and economic stability. Our projects provide free motivational alternative educational programs to young people whose families often struggle to meet basic needs.

We integrate education in practical learning system and internships program in order to have better lives and give positive impact to the communities. Social entrepreneur is our goal. We give an alternative education system, to assist the youth as the prevention of becoming street and casual worker as well as the image of trouble maker or criminals. We offer business opportunities for the youth from the underprivileged families to empower themselves. We motivate them to reach their dreams. We give them the opportunities to explore their talents, strength, build their characters and give them sufficient knowledge and skills.

Objectives

To provide adequate and appropriate technical, vocational, entrepreneurial and life skills to the youth. To develop capacity in sports management and training in the country

  • 1.1.1 Identification and selection of youth groups for youth empowerment
  • 1.1.2 Identification and training of Trainer of Facilitators
  • 1.1.3 Youth have improved Literacy Skills and provide learning resources to support literacy learning
  • 1.1.4 Participation in peer-peer support learning activities and Youth in agriculture forums.
  • 1.1.5 Youth have improved Livelihood Skills and Training youth groups on financial literacy
  • 1.1.6 Sensitize youth groups on livelihood diversification options
  • 1.1.7 To achieve this, we will facilitate the youth groups in identifying opportunities for livelihood diversification within the selected value chains.
  • 1.1.8 Training youth on vocational skills
  • 1.1.9 Selected youth will be linked to existing technical training institutes or suppliers of equipment.

  • 11. Before embarking on poultry production the groups will be trained on; marketing analysis and economic analysis

Breeding indigenous chicken for improvement of the breed is important and will be accomplished through, indigenous chicken breeds, improved breeds e.g Kuroiler, improved KARI Kienyeji, selection, and breeding (serial hatching, selection of eggs for setting, synchronized hatching selection of birds for breeding and upgrading etc). The goal of the pilot project is to improve the livelihood of 100 vulnerable youth and their families in Mombasa County through integrated interventions and general youth empowerment initiatives.
